I was very satisfied staying here - my room was pretty microscopic but very clean and modern at least. I was most happy with the hotel amenities - for example, the gym is perfection and I loved that I was able to get proper workouts in. I’ll definitely be staying here for future NYC visits. There’s a lot of “third spaces” to make up for the smallness of the rooms, for example a big lobby area on 2 levels you can chill out and work/read etc.

"First time staying at this hotel and I loved every aspect of it! Loved the lighting, loved the public room upstairs, the private room for guests, the guest bedroom - loved the lighting all over. This hotel, the staff was present, and when I can say every staff member we came across was incredibly alert, attentive, and caring - They looked into your eyes. They did not talk like you were not there - very respectful. You have got it right in every way. Loved the candles on the tables in the evenings, the real flowers in the daytime in the little vases! It's the little touches, the elegant way the hotel was furnished, the curtains, the remote blinds. Everything was right!!"

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is absolutely unmatched. The hotel feels modern, stylish, and effortlessly cool, but still welcoming and comfortable. The space itself is surprisingly spacious (especially for NYC), extremely clean, and thoughtfully designed — it truly felt like a luxury experience without being stuffy or overdone. The location is PERFECT. Being in the Lower East Side made everything so easy — tons of great food, shopping, and things to do within walking distance, and getting around the city was a breeze. Honestly, staying here made the entire trip better because the hotel felt like part of the experience, not just somewhere to crash at night. Everything about this place just works — the atmosphere, the design, the comfort, the energy. It exceeded expectations in every way. I would 100% stay here again and will be recommending it to everyone I know visiting NYC. SUCH an amazing spot.

The Public is a great hotel if you're looking for a high energy hotel to explore New York. The rooms are very well designed with every inch utilized smartly and also great use of technology. There are a couple of small improvements I would suggest (a shelf in the bathroom, a hook for a towel etc.) but nothing glaring. The hotel is also a center of activity with a nightclub, rooftop, bar, cafe and restaurant which means you can spend an entire weekend just in the property though you won't want to as it is in an amazing location in LES, steps from Soho and the subway station which means you can't run out of things to do. Also I was in a rush when I left so didn't review the bill - there was a small error and they rectified it within a couple of hours of me emailing them which was awesome. Also the staff and service is wonderful all around. Will definitely be back.

We had such a great night at the rooftop at the Public Hotel. Booking one of the rooftop igloos was definitely the right move and made the whole evening feel extra special. Our group ended up growing at the last minute, but the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They handled everything so smoothly. A huge thank you to Jaime for helping coordinate everything and making sure our larger group was taken care of. Also the food and drinks were amazing! They had so many options and everything we ordered from the menu was fantastic! Gabby, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. The service really stood out and made the experience even better! Overall it was such a fun night with incredible service, and we will absolutely be coming back.

PUBLIC is definitely one of those hotels that stand out to me design-wise. It was very chic and well-thought of when it came to every single detail. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They always made sure we were doing alright, especially Jaime and Leilani. I love how lively and "modern" it felt as soon as you entered, definitely adaptive to the times. I also stayed at the Igloos and it was warm and cozy. Definitely an experience, I had a great time.

I recently stayed at PUBLIC Hotel for a little one-night staycation with a friend, and it completely lived up to the hype. The room was compact but thoughtfully designed, with Japanese-inspired elements that made the space feel modern and calming. I especially loved the platform setup with the two beds side-by-side—simple, stylish, and surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was another highlight: sleek, clean, and beautifully designed. Just a heads-up that the glass walls make it a very intimate setup, but luckily my friend and I are close enough to laugh about it. One of the biggest perks for me is that the hotel is dog-friendly, which I always appreciate. The atmosphere throughout the entire property is such a vibe—cool, stylish, and energetic without feeling overwhelming. We went up to the rooftop at night, and it was honestly the perfect scene for dancing, having drinks, and taking in the views. Dinner up there was great too. In the morning, we grabbed breakfast downstairs, which had delicious pastries and really solid coffee—exactly what you want after a night out. Overall, PUBLIC feels like a destination in itself, and I’d absolutely stay again.

Love location, service and especially the lighting and hardwood floors in the rooms. I only stay here now in NYC because mindful its a very fun hotel. I love the wooden bedframe the most. Manager staff and front desk were mostly so helpful and kind to address concerns.
